With the available Adaptive Front-lighting System, the headlight beams automatically pivot in concert with the CX-5 based on vehicle speed and steering angle to improve visibility in dark corners.

Uncompromised Performance
Squeeze more energy from every drop of fuel with Mazda's SKYACTIV®-G 2.0L gasoline engine. It produces 155 horsepower and an impressive 150 lb-ft torque on 15% less fuel than Mazda's previous MZR 2.0L engine. For extra power and torque, upgrade to the 2.5L SKYACTIV®-G. It's quick off the line with 184 horsepower yet still surprisingly fuel-efficient.
CX-5 features two transmission options: the ultra-responsive SKYACTIV®-MT 6-speed manual and the SKYACTIV®-Drive 6-speed Sport automatic that is ultra smooth and light on fuel.
Suspension & Handling
CX-5's lighter-yet-more-rigid SKYACTIV®-Body and SKYACTIV®-Chassis give you superior driving performance and responsive handling. You can't always see every car on the road, so the available class-leading Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) System‡‡‡ is here to help. It uses motion-detecting technology to scan your blind spots. If it detects a vehicle in your blind spot when you activate a turn signal, it sounds a warning chime and illuminates an icon in the corresponding side-view mirror.
